Simon Orlovsky and Lucy Chibukhchyan
Simon and Lucy both 17 have been Dance 4 Health students since 2006. During that time, they were National Junior Champions and had made an appearance on the reality TV show “Dancing with the Stars”.
Simon began dancing when he was 7 years old. His Mom bribed him with $20 to take dance classes. He continued to take dance classes and began competing at age 9 and winning local competitions by age 10.
Lucy has been dancing since she was 5. She studied ballet and began dancing ballroom with Simon when she was 12. Simon and Lucy have received coaching from World Champion Ballroom Dancer and Executive Dance Director for Dance 4 Health Charlotte Jorgensen. Under the tutelage of Dance 4 Health co-founder and Executive Director Elaine Baylis-Dziekanowski, Simon and Lucy meet weekly for supervised practice.
Simon and Lucy have also volunteered their time and talent at Community fund raising events for the Santa Clara Valley Medical Foundation, San Jose Neighborhood Arts Program and FanimeCon. They claim that Dance 4 Health not only helped them become better dancers but they are also healthier and well rounded individuals.
